Personal trainer commission calculator
Enter the pack price, the number of sessions and the commission share. See what each session is worth, what the trainer earns and what the gym keeps.
The pack
Per session
Each session is worth ₹500. The trainer earns ₹200 and the gym keeps ₹300.
Whole pack
If all 12 sessions are used, the trainer earns ₹2,400 and the gym keeps ₹3,600.
This month
For 60 sessions the trainer earns ₹12,000 in commission and the gym keeps ₹18,000.

How the split is worked out
A session is worth the pack price divided by the number of sessions. A ₹6,000 pack of 12 makes each session ₹500. At a 40% trainer share the trainer gets ₹200 a session and the gym keeps ₹300. If the trainer gives 60 sessions in a month, that is ₹12,000 to the trainer and ₹18,000 to the gym.
Two common mistakes. Paying commission when the pack is sold rather than when sessions are given means you owe commission on sessions that may never happen if the member stops coming. And forgetting expiry: a pack with no use-by date leaves unused sessions on the books for ever. Decide both before you sell the first pack.
The calculator shows the arithmetic, not what is right. The share depends on whether the trainer also draws a salary, who brings the client, and what nearby gyms pay. The guide on personal training pricing and commission covers the usual models.
About trainer commission
How much commission should a gym pay a personal trainer?
There is no fixed rate. Many gyms pay a base salary plus a share of the sessions given. Choose a share that still leaves the gym a profit after rent, power and equipment, and write it down before the trainer starts.
Should commission be on sessions given or packs sold?
Sessions given rewards the trainer for doing the work and avoids paying commission on packs that members never use. Packs sold rewards selling. Some gyms split it, paying a small amount on the sale and the rest per session.
How is the value of one session worked out?
Divide the pack price by the number of sessions. A 12-session pack sold for ₹6,000 makes each session worth ₹500.
Are these numbers advice?
No. They are arithmetic on what you enter. Agree the commission with your trainer in writing before you start.
