Gym attendance tracking: see who is training and who has stopped coming

A member who stops coming is usually the one who does not renew. Jimwala records every check-in and turns it into something you can read at a glance: how often each member trains, their streak, and whether they have gone quiet.

What you can do

A full check-in history for every member

Open a member and go to their Visits tab. It lists their recent check-ins with the day and time, including the times they were turned away because their plan had ended.

Visits this month and in the last 30 days

Training days are counted, so two check-ins on the same day count once. It is a fair picture of how often someone really comes.

Weekly streaks

A week (Monday to Sunday) counts when the member trains on at least 3 days. Their streak is the number of weeks in a row that did, and their best run is remembered. The week still in progress never breaks a streak.

A 12-week calendar

Twelve weeks laid out as a grid, one square a day, so a member who has slowed down stands out at once.

When they usually train

Jimwala shows how many days a week a member has trained over the last 8 weeks and whether they usually come in the morning, afternoon or evening.

Milestones

First visit, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 visits, and 4, 8 and 12 weeks in a row. They show up on the member's own page, a small reason to keep going.

Members see their own progress

The same numbers appear on the member's own page, opened from the QR code on their ID card, so they can see their streak without asking you.

Worked out in India time

Days and weeks follow India time, so a late-night or early-morning check-in always lands on the right day.

How it works

  1. Check members in at the desk

Scan the QR on their card or search by name. Every visit is recorded.

  2. Open a member and tap Visits

See their numbers, calendar, streak and recent check-ins.

  3. Reach out when they go quiet

A member whose calendar has gone empty is worth a call or a WhatsApp before their plan ends.

Questions about attendance tracking

How is a visit counted?

A check-in at the desk where the member had a valid plan counts as a visit, at most one per day. Times a member was turned away are listed for your staff but are not counted as visits.

What does the streak mean?

It is the number of weeks in a row, Monday to Sunday, in which the member trained on at least 3 days.

Can I change the weekly goal of 3 days?

Not at the moment. It is 3 days a week for every member.

Do members see this too?

Yes. Their own numbers, calendar and milestones are on their member page. They never see anyone else's.

Do I need special hardware?

No. A normal USB or Bluetooth QR scanner works, and you can also check members in by searching their name.
